I understand York 1 is…

I understand York 1 is trying to play the “recycling concept” to get into our area but how can anyone understand how this can happen with no change in zoning and being 1 km from the heart of the town!! Endangering a sensitive ecosystem with 33 emdangered species and being near major waterways, prime farmland and all for being used for the GTAs use and to line York 1 s pockets. This is the creation of impending safety issues for our families and community. Land uses need to meet all current approvals!!! Not twist them to fit what works for a large corporation with no regard for our town and what we have built in this rural country as our home.

6000 tonnes of waste daily, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our infrastructure is not made for this amount of influx for hundreds and hundreds of trucks coming in and out of our town on already stressed roads that are in need of repair.

York 1 can make it sound good on paper,but we as a town united understand what is in the plans and where this will go. How the government or anyone even slightly involved could let this even get this far is ludicrous.

Stop York 1 from buying our valuable farmland for profit, endangering our safety and that of our waterways and habitat, making an eyesore out of our town that will devalue all of our homes and businesses, impacting our Sydenham watershed and bringing soil pollution. The list is endless. Our safety is more important that York 1 and their money that is going where ????

Please help save Dresden. We didn’t ask for York one and they didn’t come forth with any information until they were found out. And then the information didn’t tell us anything we needed to know. No answers to most questions asked in a meeting where they called the shots.

Someone needs to step is and make this monstrosity go away !! Someone needs to protect our rights and Dresden as a whole and say no to York 1. We deserve that much.

Please save our beautiful country town and stop York 1. We deserve better than this from all of you who can help us.

Safety, agriculture,water,roadways,traffic, endangered species,our health, noise,pollution,farmland. York 1 is not here for us. Please think how you would feel if this was your town.
