an approval as a land fill site over forty years ago is not a valid reason to not have an environmental assessment now. Locating a new large landfill so closer to a town is certainly not a reasonable course of action. The potential for contamination leeching out would seem to be a huge concern. I'm not from the area but am familiar with Dresden being appx 45 minutes away and travelled there many times for hockey games with grandkids.
