Relaxing cable restraints, snares, and killer snares are not recognized as humane traps by either Canadian or international standards. The information on this ERO came from the fur industry, not from a veterinary expert or wildlife biologist. There are much safer and humane ways to protect people, pets, and livestock, like provincial feeding bans, mandatory humane coexistence strategies in cities, and mandatory fencing and guard animals on ranches. And there are plenty of environmentally friendly and more affordable alternatives to fur.
