We urge the approval of Norfolk County's urban boundary expansion. Our community is in dire need of modern amenities, enhanced infrastructure, and an expanded tax base. Regrettably, former MPP Toby Barrett has consistently disseminated false information about this expansion, seemingly driven by a personal grudge against the current provincial administration. Both he and the present MPP have engaged in fearmongering tactics, spreading alarm among Norfolk County residents via social media. Although Toby has removed much of the misleading content from his public accounts, he continues to promote fear within private groups online. Furthermore, a thorough examination of social media discussions shows that most opponents of the expansion are not farmers. From my interactions, I have yet to encounter a farmer who is troubled by this issue.
