The province has no jurisdiction to enforce their view on local transportation issues. Gridlock in cities is produced by too many cars on a finite amount of road. Cars and trucks are getting bigger. If the province wants to reduce gridlock they should implement more puclic transit options. More cars and more roads is not the direction of progress. The province should give the money to cities for how they deem necessary to combat congestion. Bikes move more people quicker than cars.
