Hello, I am utterly dumbfounded that Doug Ford is on a mission to remove and prevent bike lanes in Toronto. Traffic has nothing to do with bike lanes and everything to do with the fact there are simply too many cars on the road. We need alternative modes of transportation that are safe and reliable if we want to ease gridlock. Bike lanes provide one of those alternatives. I recently learned that more than 70% of torontonians travel to work each day via car. That statistic is quite simply pathetic. We need to encourage people to bike, walk, and use public transit more than ever, and that won’t happen without significant investment in all three.
