I'm completely against this proposal.
Dedicated bicycle lanes encourage more people to travel by bike instead of car, resulting in less traffic congestion, safer commutes for cyclists and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
This is a FACT and has been proven by endless researches and data from cities around the world for decades, both in European and North American context. The closest example of the success of bike lane is Montreal which has similar cultural and climate background as Toronto and most others Ontarian municipalities.
On top of that, increasing highway speed limit and others measures to encourage driving is going against the province environmental commitment.
