I have serious concerns about this proposed legislation. Why is the provincial government so anti- science and anti- data?
Data shows that bike lanes improve gridlock, often by taking cars off the road or by improving traffic flow.
Doug Ford has explicitly acknowledged that removing bike lanes will likely result in making roads less safe for cyclists and possibly lead to more deaths.
Increased infrastructure for biking has been shown time and again, across Canada and the world, to increase the number of people cycling. This leads to fewer gridlock-causing cars.
