As someone who loves beers in corner stores, I understand that traffic is slow and that there is a need to ease congestion.
But this is a terrible idea.
If bike lanes are removed, you get maybe 10% extra space for 80% extra traffic (since all the bikers will now drive).
If you really want to reduce traffic, invest in more public transit so less people feel the need to drive.
