This proposed legislation lacks both academic and common sense.
Countless studies show that bike lanes reduce traffic congestion and that widening roads just lead to more cars and more traffic. You are just taking bikers out of the bike lanes and forcing them into cars to add to the traffic.
You could learn from looking at the actions of others major cities in Europe and North America. You don't see New York City or London trending in this direction.
This is not how our tax dollars should be spent.
