That the province is undertaking this entire exercise, in the face of regularly-provided evidence supporting expanding bike-lanes and in clear violation of the norms around the separation of municipal and provincial responsibilities, all because of one bike lane in the Premier's riding that some tiny number of drivers have complained about, makes it clear that this is not an evidence-based issue for this government and raises the question of why this solicitation process is being pursued at all.
