This policy is a gross overreach of provincial government into municipal matters. Removing bike infrastructure only causes more congestion as more vehicles will be on the road and cyclists will be forced to take up space in car lanes. This is more dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians. Our hospitals do not need more patients taking up ER space due to preventable accidents. The funding for this idiotic policy could be used for healthcare, education, and social programs that have been severely neglected by this government.
