There are numerous studies that show bike lanes and bikes reduce congestion in the urban areas because they reduce car dependency. If you use common sense, the amount a space car takes is way more than the amount of space a bike takes. There are multiple bikes in a small bike lane vs the number of cars we can fit in the same lane. I suggest using some common sense.
