This is an absurd overreach into local authority over transit infrastructure. Shoving more cars onto mid-urban roads is not going to reduce traffic in downtown. The idea that there are all these magical “side roads” suitable for biking infrastructure is ludicrous; any such roads would be infested by cars whose GPS systems are telling them to take that way. I didn’t think I could be more disgusted by this provincial government but here we are on another day ending in “y”.
