I just found out about this proposal today. From a provincial stand point the province should be setting policy and letting planners of local municipalities plan. The adding of two new suites on a property does not help to plan for transportation, recreation let alone parking. On small lots it will congest neighbourhoods and have people on top of one another.
We need the provincial government to be focusing on affordable housing for people. All this will do is drive up prices in established neighbourhoods and ruin the sense of community. It will kill established tree canopies and contribute to climate change.
