Reducing bike lanes is not how to prevent gridlock. Gridlock/traffic is apparent on all streets, bike lane or not. Highways are always congested, and there is always ongoing construction closing roads and lanes. Bike lanes are not the source of congestion. Cyclists are commuters too, and bike lanes are needed for safety.
