I am deeply concerned about the decision to remove the newly installed bike lanes in our city. These bike lanes have significantly improved traffic flow and safety by providing dedicated space for cyclists, keeping them out of fast-moving car lanes. Eliminating them not only endangers cyclists but also risks increasing congestion as bikes and cars are forced to share the same space again. I urge provincial officials to reconsider this short-sighted move and recognize the long-term benefits that proper bike infrastructure brings to our city.
