This proposed bill is provincial overreach. Bike lanes are a municipal issue and should not require provincial approval.
Bike lanes help reduce traffic by reducing the number of people in cars. It also helps keep cyclists safer. Toronto should be adding and improving the existing cycling infrastructure not removing them.
The removal of existing bike lanes will NOT reduce traffic, will lead to more dangerous conditions for cyclists, and is a giant waste of taxpayer funds.
