Terrible idea. There is loads of evidence that adding bike lanes does not slow traffic. It provides safe alternative modes of transport, particularly in a large city. If you want to reduce traffic, we need to reduce the number of cars on the road not increase the number. Better Transit and more bike lanes gets cars off the road which alleviates traffic.
Why is our government passing bills that harm the people most effected. Is it too get votes from people who don't even live in Toronto or near bike lanes? Probably.
