Building a human waste sewage plant in close proximity to our farm poses significant risks to our health, livelihoods, and the well-being of our community. The potential contamination of our drinking water sources, which we rely on for both our families and livestock, raises serious concerns about the safety of our agricultural products. As a rural farming community, we prioritize clean, safe environments for our crops and animals, and industrial facilities like a sewage plant disrupt the harmony of our agricultural landscape. Prime farmland should be preserved for food production, not repurposed for industrial waste management, which could lead to long-term negative impacts on our ecosystem and quality of life. This is completely against the Ontario Clean Water Act.
