Protected bike lanes have given me the confidence to bike nearly 25km to work on my e-bike. It has allowed me to reduce my reliance on a car, lower my GHG emissions, and arrive at work refreshed and having already done something good for my mental and physical help. Making it harder for municipalities put in protected bike lanes means fewer Ontarians will see these benefits.
The provincial government should stay out of municipal planning. Let cities and towns decide what’s best for their citizens.
