Hello, I am very concerned that the current plan for reducing our carbon footprint will not be replaced by an adequate one. There is no time to be changing or worse, reducing what is in place. The IPCC Report makes that very clear and it is unconscionable for a government to ignore or downplay the realities of climate change.
Economically speaking, there is a $26 trillion clean economy waiting for us, for true leadership to facilitate!
I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.
I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050
I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions!
The transition is happening now. Let’s get on board and stop making a false dichotomy between the environment and the economy.
