This plan runs counter to helping with traffic congestion. Cycling commuters cut down on the amount of cars on the road and bike lanes encourage commuting by bicycle. The only way to cut down car traffic is to improve options that get people out of cars. The problem with Toronto traffic is that there are too many cars on the road. Why don’t you use this money to actually improve transit in a meaningful way? That means improved train service to suburbs.
