If Doug Ford and his government were serious about reducing congestion they would be building more bike lanes. Bike lanes free up space on the roads by reducing the number of cars which use a disproportionate amount of road space. Adding car lanes has been shown to not speed up traffic. What has been shown to reduce traffic is improved intersection design and reducing the number of on street parking and driveways on roadways.
