I am against the use of the land for holding any amount of biosolids based on many reasons. For one, the smell, it can spread for miles on humid days. Very unpleasant for neighbouring properties.
My biggest concern is the potential exposure to parasites, bacteria and viruses that come from the run off. There can’t be a guarantee that there is no runoff, therefore, there is a risk of exposure. If the pile of biosolids cannot be properly contained based on the size of the pile, it’s likely the too of the pile will be flat, allowing for the buildup of water. This can seep into the ground water that many (if not all) neighbouring properties rely on well water for household purposes. In conclusion, the use of this property that has flooded in the past and can flood again, carrying the biosolids (bacteria, viruses, parasites) with it. Exposing many people to the hazards.
