Please tell us which studies you have done that confirm removing bicycle lanes is the best way to go for the environment, cyclist safety and yes even vehiculer traffic speed? It seems to me that the intent is to simply discourage cyclists from using these roads by making them too dangerous for cyclists.
When most developed nations are embracing cycling and e-bikes as legitimate, healthy and environmentally clean methods of transportation. . why is the government of Ontario moving backwards on this?
Cyclists will have to share the lane with cars and trucks. . . many cyclists will die and traffic will probably move slower on popular cyclist routes compared to when they had their own lanes and did not have to share with vehicles.
So the increase in cyclists deaths will be the responsibility of this backwards government planning. Are we OK with that??
