This is nonsense. The government doesn't seem to understand what "evidence informed" means. The best data we have points to bike lanes as improving local economies, safety, and enjoyment of travelling through cities. As for congestion, removing them will not benefit anyone. Again, check the numerous studies on this. I trust them, not the government's foolish, uninformed opinions.
How dare this government say it doesn't want to tell cities what to do in one breathe while pulling this stunt in the next.
