As a driver, a cyclist and a runner in the city, i can tell you that bike lanes save lives. And research has shown they do not cause congestion. Bad planning of construction does. You don’t think that removing bike lanes and paving new toad won’t cause congestion? And who will pay for that?
By taking away bike lanes, you put the lives of all vulnerable road users at risk.
Give people options. Don’t take away options.
