A significant fraction of commuters in the downtown core rely on these bike lanes to get to and from work safely, including those on hospital row, who fully supported the University Ave. bike lanes going in in the first place. This is a disastrous overreach by the provincial government and sets a very bad precedent. Let the people who actually live in the city of Toronto decide what to do with their streets.
