Since these are already installed, and very recently, doesn’t it make more sense to collect data on how many people are using the lanes and how much car traffic is effected by it before spending money to rip them out? This doesn’t make logical sense. I do feel the roads are for ALL traffic, not just cars. There are many more people on bikes and other electric vehicles because cars are not feasible for many. Cars are not able to move large amounts of people around, they move the privileged few. The city should be bolstering the creation of more efficient and cheaper ways of moving masses of people around the downtown core. Also, why is the provincial government meddling with how we manage our city streets?
