The new proposal should also include;

1. No moose tags for outfitters, Outfitters make their money on poviding a guiding service, rentals , etc, and not the sale of moose tags. I've seen outfitters sell tags only to hunters for 1700.00 dollars or more here in ontario. Hunters that want to use an outfitter must apply for a tag and recieve a tag to hunt moose with an outfitter in the outfitters area.

2. Non residents cannot get mosse tags in Ontario, they can only hunt in Ontario with an immediate relative. If you look at other provinces this rule is in place even if your a Canadian resident.

3. A system must be devised on the first come first serve moose tags as the phone system does not work. Depending where you live only residents that are close to majour cities seem to be able to get into the first come first serve system before anybody in the northern part of ontario.

4. Hunters that are 65yrs or older should have a priority in the draws as they only have so many years left to hunt. Under the now points system using my case only, looking at the ability to get a tag in the area i hunt of which I've been hunting there for 35 plus years and there are surplus tags every year, will now take me 10 plus years to get a tag, which would put me at 75 years old, this would require me to be physicaly able to hunt, therefore this takes away hunting for me due to age. A 65 year old hunter could also utilize his/her experience to teach younger hunters even if the younger hunter is a relative from out of province provided they have a hunters lic following the Ontario hunting regs requirements.

5. Hunters that have been appling for tags in the same area for 5 plus years should also have priority to reciece a tag provided they have been appling for a tag in that same area and have not recieved a tag since the points system was put in place, this would only apply for hunters that have not recieved a tag since the beginning of the points system.
