This is an outrageous idea.
As a pedestrian and driver, I'll admit that I strongly dislike congestion and contending with cyclists.
However, even I can understand that less bike lanes means more cyclists in the middle of the street and on the sidewalks which will only make driving and walking more chaotic than before.
I am also a right-leaning voter, and loath seeing taxpayer money that went to pay for these bike lanes wasted just to see them ripped out.
There are better, and less political solutions.
Halt the expansion of more bike lanes if you like.
Or better yet, get rid of the roadside parking on these streets to make room for an additional vehicular lane alongside the bike lanes.
I cannot continue to support a government that puts forward such a short-sited policy and wastes taxpayer money in this fashion.
Absolutely unacceptable.
