Incredibly scared and disappointed by this bill. This will assuredly lead to more cycling deaths in Toronto, and I can no longer support the party that introduced it. I will be sharing with all of my conservative-voting friends and family so that they do the same.
There is no evidence this would help with congestion. Ontario has high housing targets that rely on downtown condos currently being built, most of which aren't being built with much parking anyways, to reduce car traffic downtown. Removing bike lanes goes against the provinces own housing policy goals.
