Removing these bike lanes is short sighted and will only make traffic worse.
Less people biking is more people in cars. Traffic comes from cars, not bikes.
Cars are not viable as the dominant transportation method in a dense city.
Also don’t forget that cyclists are entitled to take the lane. I still need to bike down Bloor whether it has bike lanes or not. If the bike lanes are removed I (and many other cyclists) will ride in the middle of the lane. This is the safest spot for cyclists, and we are legally entitled to do so.
