Traffic congestion in motor vehicles isn't caused by bicycles, it's caused by too many people choosing cars.

Please DO NOT remove bike lanes that give me the choice to use a bicycle in Toronto. Taking out Bloor, University, and Young bike lanes directly removes my choice to avoid taking my car to travel around Toronto.

I recently started leaving my car at home and taking the GO train into Toronto to visit friends since the bike lanes have finally reached sufficient level of usefulness. It was way better than I thought. With the construction on the QEW, it was actually faster than driving. Cycling also helps achieve some physical therapy that my doctor recommended after a knee injury last year.

Please don't remove bike lanes, remove car lanes instead. Make cycling more convenient than driving and more people will bicycle.
