Studies consistently show that the way to reduce traffic is to provide alternate modes of transportation including public transit, BIKE LANES, and safer pedestrian infrastructure. Additionally, prioritizing alternate modes of transportation can reduce carbon emissions in our cities making the air cleaner and contributing to net zero carbon goals.
Removing bike lanes and prioritizing car-centric infrastructure is extremely short-sighted, and will be a detriment to our city, our environment, and our health.
