Biking is also a legitimate form of transportation!
Making it harder for municipalities to implement alternative modes of transportation won’t reduce car traffic in the long run. If biking is encouraged and made safer (with dedicated bike lanes for example) there would be fewer cars on the road and less traffic.
People who can’t afford cars will still bike, but now it’s just more dangerous for them.
If the provincial government wants its cities to be cleaner, safer, and less gridlocked, do not go through with Bill 212!
