I live in downtown Toronto and use these bike lanes frequently during all seasons, especially when trying to get out to the suburbs.
I don't understand why the Ontario government feels it should interfere with municipal affairs. I chose who I voted for at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels based on their policy positions and this legislation invalidates my choices.
I fundamentally don't understand why we are prioritising increased traffic flow on routes that are not sensible thoroughfares for cars. Even less so why that would be desirable over cyclist and pedestrian safety.
