I'm surprised that a common-sense government is introducing new red-tape into the process of planning for our municipalities.
I bike and drive interchangeably, and as a cyclist I want to feel safe on the road and as a driver I want to not have to weave around drivers.
Keeping bike lanes in place provides a viable alternative to cars on the road.
As a resident of Kitchener-Waterloo, I'd love the ability to take a train in to Toronto and ride my bike. Currently day trips require my car which puts more traffic on the highway, and more traffic and parking downtown.
By removing Toronto's bike lanes, you remove a reason for me to visit or province's hub.
