The proposed bill intends to reduce congestion by limiting bike lanes. There are a number of studies, cited by CBC and other news agencies, that the Government should be aware of that conclude that the use of bike lanes tend to reduce congestion - at least in the longer term.
Are there any significant studies that support the Government's thinking?
