Continually expand the reach and frequency of public transit so that people have more car-free options.
Follow the recommendations of your Housing Affordability Task Force report, so that you're not continually pushing people to live further and further from the cities they want to live in.
In the short term, emergency steps to relieve congestion include:
- removing on-street parking
- increasing the number of transit priority lanes, to move more people faster
- expanding the network of separated bike lanes to allow more people to make local trips car free.
