All the studies that I consulted on the impact of adding lanes for cars show an increase of traffic congestion over the long term (2 years+). Can you share a study that shows the opposite, i.e. a scientific study showing that adding more lanes to cars actually decreases traffic congestion?
In addition, do you have a rigorous plan to evaluate the impact of the proposed changes? In location where you will remove bike lanes and add more lanes to cars, do you plan to evaluate the impact on traffic congestion before and after?
Thank you.
