I live in downtown Toronto and rely on bike lanes for my daily commute, both for work and leisure. This bill would not only eliminate one of the most efficient ways to get around but also feels deeply irresponsible, especially as we work to address climate change. Cycling reduces traffic congestion, not the opposite—bikes occupy far less space than cars, and removing bike lanes would only push more people into cars, ultimately worsening traffic.
Please reconsider this bill and prioritize sustainable, efficient transportation options for our city.
