The idea of the Ontario government passing legislation to remove bike lanes in Toronto is a waste of money and resources, an inappropriate focus for the provincial government, and a step backwards for safety and municipal infrastructure.
City planning should be left to cities. I dislike that the Ontario government plans to waste taxpayer money reviewing and removing existing bike lanes when studies have shown they improve traffic, not worsen it. If a city determines that bike lanes are beneficial to a particular road or street, I dislike that they will face additional red tape to get that done
