This proposed legislature specifically targets the City of Toronto and discriminate cyclists in favour of single occupancy vehicles which are the actual cause of congestion. The legislature unlawfully circumvents and underminds the City of Toronto Act, 2006. Should the province proceed in modifying existing bike lanes without any meaningful review as they are announcing, they will be making an existing condition less safe for cyclists and should therefore bare all liabilty and cost for damages. This unlawful meddling with municipal infrastructure will see to it that the ontario ombudsman and integrity commissioner be called upon.
