This is very poor policy that will worsen traffic congestion in Toronto. Congestion is improved when it’s easier and faster for all people to get around. Cars worsen congestion as they take up huge amounts of space and pollute. There is a place for cars, but only as a secondary mode of transport to other modes that naturally accommodate large volumes of people. Improving bike, pedestrian, and transit infrastructure is the only way to make it faster to move through Toronto.
