Removing bike lanes will result in more congestion, not less as drivers clog the streets to a far greater degree than cyclists. Additionally this will worsen air quality, increase accidents between motorists and cyclists, and cost the city and provincial taxpayers over a hundred million dollars in direct and indirect costs.
