If toronto wants to be a world class city we NEED to stop designing it around cars. CARS ruin cities. If you want to own a car or use one everyday live in the suburbs. Suburbs are a paradise for car owners. Keep your hands off our bike lanes. It’s incredibly unsafe for cyclists to commute without some kind of protection, and removing the bike lanes isn’t going to stop people from biking. Instead your going to get more people biking on sidewalks , or biking with cars, and the people responsible for this ridiculous bill are going to have a lot more fatalities in their hands. Honestly people who don’t live in the downtown core shouldn’t be able to make decisions about the future of the city. Safety should be the number one priority and bike lanes are a major contributor to HEALTHY, HAPPY, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CITIES. It is incredibly hypocritical to claim to be a progressive city when we can’t even get the most basic mode of transportation rolled out across the city. I beg you PLEASE do not removed bike lanes in the city. We need more bike infrastructure not less!!!!
