Is this really the most urgent issue in the province? The price tag for removing the bike lanes in Toronto is estimated at $48 million. Can that money not be used for health care, education, homelessness and so on? As Mayor Chow has said,the province needs to stay in its lane and I want my daughter to be safe.
Any improvements to traffic flow will be, at best, marginal. This idea needs to be stopped.
If it goes forward, I have to wonder why we should bother with municipal elections on 2026.
