I commute approximately 25,000km a year by car.
I am also a conservatively minded professional, and a father.
I do not support the motions set forth in bill 212. I not not believe that the provincial government has a place in dictating policy at a municipal level. This is in contravention of the mandate of the current government whom ran on a platform to reduce waste and unessessary oversight.
As a father, I would like safe pathways for my children to get to and from school.
As a citizen, I value public works projects that improve the overall health and well being of its citizens. I believe that shared use pathways, bike lanes and similar community projects increase the value of my property and my city.
I urge the Premier to set aside this distraction and focus on the economic development of the province.
